Ruruku led the upgrade of the Administration Block at Naenae College, delivering a modernised, functional, and welcoming space that reflects the values of the school community.

As Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor, we oversaw the project from early design through to construction completion — managing consultants, monitoring cost and programme, and ensuring strong coordination throughout. Our in-house design team worked closely with McKenzie Higham Architects to align architectural intent with practical delivery and buildability.

The scope included a full internal reconfiguration, services upgrades, new finishes, and a redesigned external envelope to address weathertightness issues and improve long-term performance. Staged construction allowed school operations to continue uninterrupted, with careful planning to minimise disruption.

The result is a refreshed admin hub that enhances day-to-day function and presents a confident, contemporary front door for the school.
