Our in-house QS team brings clarity and cost certainty to every stage of a project. We go beyond measuring — we challenge assumptions, reflect current market conditions, and offer advice you can act on. We work closely with designers and project managers to ensure every dollar is justified, every risk is flagged, and your budget stays aligned with reality.

We help clients make smart property decisions. From condition assessments to portfolio-wide strategies, we provide evidence-based, action-oriented advice. About us
Founded by Ian Rattray and originally known as IR Group, we’ve grown and evolved, but our belief in building consensus and aligning teams has stayed the same. That’s why we chose the name Ruruku. It’s at the core of how we work.
What’s in a name?
Ruruku means to pull together, to collaborate, to be strong together. It’s who we are. It’s how we deliver. We build consensus.

Why does consensus matter?
Consensus is the difference between a project that’s merely finished and one that’s truly successful. Consensus is the difference between transactions and building long-term relationships.
Consensus isn’t an extra step. It’s the foundation of everything we do and it’s what sets us apart.
Every construction project has dozens of moving parts and countless stakeholders, each with their own priorities and perspectives. Misalignment isn’t just inconvenient; it creates risk, increases cost, and slows everything down. That’s why building consensus is at the heart of our project management practice.
At the outset of every project we make sure everyone receives sufficient ‘onboarding’. This sets out clear roles, responsibilities and expectations.
