Kāpiti College – Te Raukura ki Kāpiti (Performing Arts Centre)
With years of planning, consultation, and delivery behind it, the completion of Te Raukura ki Kāpiti is a milestone achievement — for the school, the region, and the wider performing arts community.
Only the highest quality outcome was acceptable for this flagship facility. The calibre of its first performers — the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra — is testament to that standard.
This was a complex, multi-stakeholder project involving close collaboration with consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, mana whenua, local council, the Ministry of Education, and third-party funders. Ruruku acted as Project Manager, overseeing the delivery of a facility that will enrich the cultural life of the Kāpiti Coast for generations to come.
Key features of the Kāpiti Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) include:
A 330-seat, state-of-the-art theatre
Purpose-built green room
Recording studio
Dance studio
Specialist music and practice rooms
This project reflects our ability to manage complex projects with confidence, care, and precision — and our commitment to delivering spaces that inspire.
