Set against the backdrop of the Tararua Ranges, this large single-storey home in Dalefield was designed by Ruruku to sit confidently within its rural setting while capturing expansive views and delivering relaxed, modern living.

Working closely with the client, our design team developed a layout that balances openness and privacy — with generous living areas, a strong connection to the outdoors, and smart zoning to suit family life. The home’s long, low form and considered material palette allow it to settle naturally into the landscape, while still making a bold contemporary statement.
